Suspension too low
How do you know when your coil-over suspension is too low? All of the following are from personal experience.
1. When every parking lot curb in front of the parking space rubs on the front air dam.
2. When even small speed bumps cause a gut-wrenching scraping sound on the car's exhaust and sub-frame as you try to slowly inch over them.
3. When the front tires wear through the black plastic fender liners at the top of the fender well.
4. When you try to straddle a road-killed ground hog and it makes a resounding "thud" when it lodges somewhere under the car, followed by a grating sound as the pavement scrapes away the meat on the carcass until it finally breaks free and comes out the back.
5. When even your lowest floor jack will not go under the car to jack it up.
6. When you have to get out of the car to reach the keys on the bank ATM.
7. When your dog can reach in the open car window and lick your face
Yes- I finally found my coil-over adjusting wrench and raised the car about an inch.
