Suspension or tires first?
On a tight budget at the moment (still wont cheap out on bad quality for my car tho) and I'm just curious which would be a smarter first investment since the tires im on right now have about 25% life and im looking at getting toyo proxes r1r's. Or if I should get powered by max coilovers since im currently on $300 maxpeeding coilovers.
Thats a good point. In your opinion would you recommend something different than r1r's? Car has around 400 hp with 275's in the rear ill be mostly weekend spirited driving it with a potential to track it.

i would say tires also, however keep your eye open for suspension stuff. my S2000 buddy was able to trade a set of maxspeeding coilovers for a set of bilsteins and stock springs.
the car was ok on the street, but when we took it to the track the rear dampers only worked sometimes....

Tires always first. Arguably the single biggest improvement you can make to a car from a value perspective is tires. Get the best rubber you can for the money you can spend that has the attributes you're looking for. Then think about suspension bits.
