Suspension suggestions
Have an 87 GXL that I want to put coil overs in. Any suggestions without breaking the bank. I'm looking for a smooth ride that will provide good handling. Any links or ideas will be considered. THANKS!

I have a set of ksport kontrol pro coilovers that you can get for under 1000. They have been on the car for about 5000 km and I've got them dialed in pretty good. They can be set quite stiff or relatively soft depending on driving style. Strut mount dampening adjustment and super easy height adjustment are notable features.
I also have whiteline sway bars and poly bushings throughout. I highly recommend those if you're going to upgrade your suspension. Old rubber won't hold up or provide the same feedback.

I was definitely looking at upgrading to poly bushings as well and upgrading the sway bars as my rx needs them as is. Thanks for the input. Will definitely consider. I like the idea of being able to adjust everything to my driving style. I'm a bit of a speed nut. Especially in corners. Haha

Looking for better handling. Lowering a little. It's my fun car. I drive it when I just want to play around. I don't think I need coil overs. I just want some. Can't people just want to do something? Haha just looking for other owner experiences. Pros an cons of different brands and set ups vs. cost.

lol, I'm not trying to be a jerk, there's literally hundreds of options out there is why I was trying to narrow it down.
If you don't want to spend over 1500$:
Fortune auto's 500 series is a great option for not spending too much. I'd recommend swift springs. I know they offer custom valving, so you pick the spring rates you want without fear and if it's your weekend car you decide how digressive you want your valving.
Stance might be a reasonable option, but I'm not sure if they dyno shocks to match damping characteristics, I'd e-mail them if you consider their options.
A third option would be one of Tein's many products, Flex is pretty popular, but you can see if it fits your needs. There's a pretty full list here http://www.bestcoiloverguide.com/coi...in-suspension/
My go to would be FEAL suspension, but he doesn't have any rx7 applications yet.
If you can spend more, I can't recommend Ohlin's highly enough, Zeal(are they still Zeal?) has a great reputation as well.
