Suspension Opinions Please

My rear struts are starting to leak so I am going to replace my shocks and springs front and rear. First, I drive my car mostly to and from work so ride quality is important. However I do like taking corners fast and the occasional spirited driving. I was looking at either getting Racing Beat Springs or Eibach Springs, opinions please? Side question: (Does anyone know when my car is lowered from different springs if I will get interference problems with my tires because I run 225/45/17 tires?) For shocks I was really considering getting adjustable shocks possible KYB AGX, but I am not quite sure if I had adjustable shocks if it would really be worth the extra money, opinions please? Now if I get the Racing Beat springs I think I will just buy the suspension package and get the sway bars too. Another thing I have thought about doing is I have noticed some of the suspensions bushings on my car look pretty old and brittle so I thought about buying energy suspension bushing kit and replacing the bushings while I am redoing my suspension, is it worth it or would this make my suspension pretty stiff?

If you do any tracking (or AutoX), adjustable shocks can be great. You can run them hard on the track and soft on the street. If you have the money, I highly recommend adjustable shocks.

Can you really tell a difference when you adjust the stiffness in the shocks? Do most brands locate the adjuster **** in a convient location, because if the rear shocks have the adjustment **** on the top I will never want to adjust them, because I still use my rear speakers that cover up the top of the rear shocks

I use the Tokicos and yes there is a difference in the settings. However, at least with the Tokicos, the adjustment is on the top.

Does anyone know if you can have 225/45/R17 tires with the 1" or .8" drop from the racing beat or eibach springs and have no interference problems? (no rubbing)

^^^ im running springs that drop the car lower in the front than the racing beats with the tokicos. the trick to the tire you purchase is making sure the corner on the profile is round rather than a slight square. i am on the gforce BFs (size you mentioned above) now and I am not rubbing in the front.

I believe he's fitting these on an FC, not an FD.

If you tend to be more of a passive driver. then the adjustable shocks would be a waist of money. If you enjoy pushing your car and like to drive it the way it is meant to be driven then you would appreciate the added handling the adjustable shocks would give. The KYB AGX for the rear have an adjusting *** located on the lowere side of the shock. the fronts would be located on the top which can be accessed through the front fender. When you combine the adjustable shocks with the added stability from the Eibach prokit springs you find the your RX7 will handle far better at higher speeds.

On the down side the information that i show states the 225/45/17 are considered an aggressive fit and may have rubbing issues on the stock suspension. If the vehicle was lowered you would mostly likely have some rubbing issues between the tire and the shock tower.
