suspension info
I am wondering what would you guys that have owned FD's for a while would recommended. I just purchased a 94 and wanted to look into getting suspension for it, but I was not sure if I should go struts and springs or a coil over setup.
This is going to be my daily driver and I need something that rides nice when taking the girl out in the 7 and also good with curves.
I am looking to stay in the 5-700 price range. Any info you guys can give will be appreciate it.
Thanks,

You aren't going to get decent coilovers for that price unless you can find a good used set. Your best bet would be to get a set of Koni shocks and use your stock springs. Koni's have a 3 position perch so you can still get "some" lowering without lowering springs.
If you want to "impress the girls" - most any high performance springs will be stiffer than stock, which isn't exactly soft to start with.
+1 on a good set of Koni's, they will do fine with twisties on public roads, and there is a **** for adjustmetnt when you want something stiffer. Lots of places have decent prices on these shox.

Hello,
I think you have to go with it.i also done some change in my car i just bought control arm kit from a store on ebay they have all type of items and all are on less rates then others. so if you want to buy some kits and other parts then you can bought.
good luck!!

The koni shocks seem like a good buy. It really depends on how the money is around December. I was thinking of going with a good set of coil overs if money allows or just get a set of koni shocks and tein springs.
I had an MR2 that i had KYB adjustable shocks and tein springs and it handled pretty good
I just bought the car and have to pay for classes for summer and fall. Then I am also helping my girl with bills, but I think by December the car will look pretty sick.
Thanks for all the help guys

You always have the option to add the Ground Control Coilover Sleeves to Koni shocks at a later point in time (when you finances permit it). It's a good way to work your way towards a coilover setup, without just taking the plunge all at once. The Koni/Ground Control setup is a decent proven setup so it's not exactly like you'd be settling on something "less".
Getting decent shocks first, is more important IMO.
