suggested width

I was hoping to get a general cenus on what the suggested width of tire corresponds to to rim width. something like a 225 tire you should use at least a 8" wide wheel.

what is the smallest suggested rim width would you need to run a 205 series tire?

thanks
Rip

205 is the width (in mm), not series. You can run a 205 tire in any wheel 5.5" to 7.5" wide, depending on the series (55, 50, 45, etc.) of the tire.

6.5" - 7". Why are you asking this question anyway? Just get a 17x7 wheel and be done with it.
