Stupid Brake Question

I bought some Hawk HP+'s off of a fellow rxclub'er and after i got them i found out these cars came with 1 or 4 piston brake's. of course the ones i bought were 1 and i have 4 on the car. my question is that in this box there are 4 pads, and i heard all rx7s have single in the rear. can i use two of those pads on the rear? or does the single piston setup use all 4 and you just have to buy the rear pads seperatly? I wasn't planning on doing the rear at all, but if i have the pads setting here i might as well.

The rear brakes are the same. You can use just the rear pads if you wish, though I would not mix and match different brake pad compounds.

The front pads and rear pads are different, so you won't be able to install a set of front pads on the rear. Each caliper takes two pads no matter if they are front or rear, single or four piston. Each caliper squeezes a pair of pads against a rotor. Since there are four calipers, your car uses 8 pads total no matter what calipers you have.*

So, if you have a set of pads for single piston front calipers, and you have 4-piston front calipers, you have a set of pads that are of no use to you.

* There are some calipers that use 4 pads per caliper, but Mazda never made any, AFAIK.
