strut bar?

I've bought a $25 ebay strut bar years ago and it works perfectly. On the other hand there are some of them that are crap. The place to check closely is the mounting plates to the strut towers. If they are thin or the flanges the bar bolts to look cheesy then avoid them. No sense in having a stiffening bar if the mounts it bolts to flex at all.

This one is better. I still don't like that where the mounting ears meet the plate there is not much area to weld. My bar uses the same bent hollow aluminum tube that is flattened many of the other bars use but I don't see any with the same mounting plates anymore. The plates on mine are thicker and structurally more solid than anything pictured here.

That's the one I have! Although when I bought mine years ago off ebay I though it was just generic. I've been more than happy with my "cheap" bar.
