Stock suspension too soft

I find the stock setup on my R2 too soft. It was fine when engine was stock, but now that I have it modded a bit when I accelearet in lower gears teh nose likes to sway up and down when shifting. Obviously this is normal, but it is just a little too much. I really don;t want to spend serious cash, I figure a nice set of linear springs will work well with my R models shocks. SO what do you guys think is best. I don;t want progresive obviously, and something a bit more rigid than stock, I really don't want to haev liek a 2" drop either.

HR springs? RB? what is the deal.

thanks

I've had a really good experience going with Eibach springs. Under hard acceleration my car barely even tips. And as for lower the car, you can barely even notice they're lowered; my 17X7 Kosei's fit with ample room to spare. I would suggest that if you're going to get springs that you also get struts eventually. If cost is an issue *and it was with me! ^_- might I suggest KYB's. They're not too expensive and they get the job done. If you don't race then I would recommend the non-adjustables for less of a headache, but if you're a racin fella, then maybe something like Apex, or ARC would be more up your ally. Actually if you're going to race, why not go all out and get coilovers? ^_- Well, good luck with whatever route you choose!

Peace,
AJ ^_^

You made your car faster than your suspension. I have the same problem, and the car just doesn't feel stable under hard acceleration. Installed Jim LaBreck's bushings and it helped somewhat, but the stock touring and even r1 suspension is too soft for me. I had enough and went all out by ordering the m2/advance design coilovers along with their toe links and trailing arms. They should be in tomorrow or the next day. Can't wait!! Springs might help, but often a stiffer spring makes the car bouncy because the shock isn't strong enough. I'd look into getting a set of coilovers.
