Steering Rack Bushings

Hey Everyone,

There's been a lot of talk about bushings lately. One thing that hasn't been discussed is the steering rack. I'm in the process of installing a Maval manual rack and am curious about the bushings.

I removed the stock rack, and have just cleaned everything up. Before i install the new rack, I was wondering if I should install new bushings. These don't receive nearly the amount of abuse of the rest of the suspension, so I would guess they last longer.

Mine are still nice and rubbery, not hardened, so I don't think they are worn out.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

Personally, I'd do it while you have everything out.

You actually get a lot of play from these bushings so you'll notice a difference.
