Stance GR+ Pro problem

So I bought some Stance GR+ Pro's and installed them on my fc had no problems installing them at all... or so I thought.

I set the car down with everything tight to measure and see how high or low I wanted to move the ride height. I first adjusted the fronts no problem. Then when I went on to adjust the rears. With the rear jacked up I removed the single lower 17mm bolt holding the bottom of the shock on. When I took out the passenger side bolt I noticed it was stripped which was quite confusing to me. So I went to the driver side and that bolt was fine. When I took the shock off the little piece it slides on to I also noticed that the shock body on the passenger side was scratched up quite a bit.

I slide the shock back on and then saw why it was scratched up the shock body was hitting the hub before sliding on all the way. I figure this I why my bolt stripped because the shock wouldn't go on fully. I checked the driver side and sure enough it is hitting.

So I contact Stance about my problem and they then tell me I need to shim it away with some washers. Hmm glad I'm being told this now! So I go to lowes get some washers and shim it away and and there is finally clearence.

My only problem now is I'm stuck with a stripped bolt that Mazda doesn't make anymore and there is one left in on the other side of the country from me. Unless someone who reads this has an extra one that they would be able to sell to me and be my savior. So my car will be sitting on stands for a while now.

I made this as a warning to anyone that intends to buy these coilovers. I am not saying they are bad coilovers or anything just that when you are installing go buy some washer when installing just incase.

IF ANYONE HAS AN EXRA BOLT PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP PLEASE!!!

Are you talking about the mounting stud or the actual bolt? because the actual bolt isn't discontinued, just the stud.

Bolt's part number if you really want a mazda bolt:
H260-34-037A

I already ordered a new bolt my main focus on this thread was to just warn people of this happening. Just trying to look out for others.

FYI you can gain clearance by getting your camber adjusted as well. You will need to purchase that though as an aftermarket piece. Then you might not need the washers. This is extremely common with any girthy coilover. The thin twin tube casing stuff doesn't have this issue too often but you will have these on Monotubes for the most part if they are 50-55mm casings. I like the fact that the stance lower bracket has a good thickness to it.

I had same issues with my 2k+ Zeals.

So honestly I like to get both.

Camber Arm and the Independent Camber adjusters.

I use the item in the link below to dial out any bias or deviation, you will naturally end up with more camber on one side of the car. These adjusters will help you to equalize that. Then after you've done that you can use the Camber Rod to do your major camber adjustments by displacing the complete rear subframe.

no problem now it isn't a huge problem and can be fixed like Rishi said it sometimes fits on some cars. Still great suspension company and components.
