SSR "Disks" plus offset and lip sizing decisions
Super Low Disk: 5/98~5/130,4/98~4/114.3
Normal Disk: 5/98~5/130,4/98~4/114.3
Medium Disk: 5/98~5/130
Hyper Disk: 5/98~5/130
I'm not sure what the difference between the above "disks" are.
If I could understand what that meant, I could decide what lip sizes I want in the wheel linked below: (In 18x9/18x10)
For instance, they have a 18x10+49 with 59mm lip, or 18x10+49 with 72mm lip, but in "Super Low Disk", versus "Normal Disk"
Keep in mind these wheels are just for looks, I have a set of 17s for track use.

Any ideas?

For the SSR SP1 Professors, apparently D_Cups has established that the SL discs can clear the stock front calipers, affording the deepest lip possible (at least for the SP1s) May not translate to the MS1s though.
Post # 114 shows that his front wheels are 'SL'

With the offsets available in the link above, which would be preferable in 18x9/18x10?
I suppose tire sizes would be 255/35 and 285/30.
I wonder if Super Low disc will fit in the rear..

Neo,
Basically with stock FD brakes you'll most likely want to run
NORMAL DISK FRONT
SUPER LOW DISK REAR
Find relative widths and offsets closest to your ideal fitment.
This is what you would get for standard fitment:
18x9 +49 NR disk (40mm lip)
18x10 +49 SL Disk (66mm lip)
Do you have a hookup on these? Let me know i'll take care of you.
Now this is assuming you run a grip setup like 255/35 and 285/30
If you do the drifter stretch, camber and roll then we can definitely maximize your lip depth.

I'm picking up another FC so most likely my Work VS-XXes will move onto that eventually, so yeah, I'll probably get MS1s to replace them.

The mortgage crisis is a good thing. It made it so I could afford one.
Well, plus I sold all my RX-7s and sold $20k worth of my video game collection. That was sad.
