SSR Comp 17X9.5 all around?

Is this wheel setup possible? I'm not sure if I'm going to go with the 17's or 18's yet. I want to do this so I can rotate. Also Rishi if you see this can you pm me a price?

Re: SSR Comp 17X9.5 all around?

SSR Comps in 9.5 x 17 come in 42-mm offsets for the FD Rx7. It's possible to run this size all the way around...IF...you run 255/40-17 tires, AND you roll the front fender lips (plus remove the LF front fender liner bolt). It will definitely be tight up front.

Probably better to go with the 9.5 x 17 Volk CE28N in 47-mm offset. This will move the wheels ~0.25-inch more inboard, and away from the front fender lips. You'd still need to run 255/40-17 tire sizes even with the 47-mm offset Volk CE28Ns for maximum front fender well clearance.

I'd suggest the 18,9.5 in a +50 offset that's coming at the end of this month. Let me know if you're interested.

Ahh...even better! I wasn't aware the SSR Comps were going to be available in 9.5 x 18, 50-mm offset!

Cool!

Yeah me neither. Luckily I try to stay on top of this ****.
I was ecstatic to say the least. I'm just concerned with their strength on the street as I've heard mixed responses.

With 9.5 x 18, 50-mm offset SSR Comps, I'd go with 265/35-18 Kumho Ecsta 700 R-compound tires for both road and track use. If you have a track-trailer then I'd go with 275/35-18 Hoosier R3S03 for max grip.

As tempting as the 9.5 x 18, 50-mm offset SSR Comps might be, I think I'd still go with the Volk CE28Ns in 9.5 x 17, 47-mm offset with 255/40-17 Kumho Victoracer V700s OR 275/40-17 Hoosier R3S03... I believe the 17-inch wheel sizes offer the best compromise between handling feel, stick, lightness, strength, and looks
