Springs for 2nd gen Eibach, ST or Tokico?
Springs for 2nd gen Eibach, ST or Tokico?
Hey guys, I am looking to replace the stock springs I have on my car. What kind of springs should I get, my choices are suspension techniques, Eibachs and Tokicos. I use my car for daily driving with some occasional autocross events. What do you guys suggest? Also with 1 inch drop on the car, does the alignment get screwed up? Do I have to get camber plates to fix the problem? Thanks for the help
Hey I am having suspension techniques put in tomorrow, I'll let you know how they work out. I hope they lower the car. Also having new struts put in. They are going to realign the car. Anyway, I'll know tomorrow, but someone else had them and said they were like driving on glass, or something similar to that.
I've got the Eibachs and I really like them. I use my car for running around on the weekends and autocross. It's plenty comfortable on the freeway, etc. but really works for autocross. The shocks help a lot too because I can stiffen them for racing.
The drop does add negative camber (mainly rear). It's great for AX. Adds a significant amount of grip. Your springs move you into CSP for SCCA so you can add the rear camber adjuster if you want. That way you can take it out for daily driving and add it back for racing.
