Spring Choices

Im running 17x8 in the front and 17x9 in the rear, Mazdaspeed MS01's, and stock shocks.

im looking to lower the car a bit for asthetic purposes, but im a little confused on the results of some of the common springs. I see some mixed reviews on the Racing Beat, Eibach, and H&R's.

Im aiming to make the wheels "look right" in the wheel well, without degrading the ride or handling too much. I DD the car, and it occationally sees some spirited driving but thats about it.

From what i gathered, i thin the RS*R Downsprings seem to be the best option for me, but i cant find any examples or pictures with 17" wheels used.

this is the stance im looking for:

heres the RS*R Downsprings on 17's, but with Koni Yellows. Im not sure how that will effect the difference in looks versus stock shocks. I would be willing to go a TAD bit lower.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're staying on stock dampers and you're satisfied with your damping, you should pick something with approximately the same spring rates as stock.

Although, the stock spring/dampers tend toward oversteer. You could afford to go a little higher with spring rate in the rear (don't exceed 5.3kg/mm), but not too much because you don't have much valving for the stock rear dampers.
