special fitment

since i cant get people to return pms

i have been searching (gasp) through all of the wheel and suspension setups and havent been able to find the offset for the damned wheels i am about to order. so i might as well ask
the wheels are going to be staggared and offset,
FRONT: 17x7 MB WEAPON with 225/45/17 bf goodrich kdw nt
REAR: 18x9 or 18x10 MB WEAPON with 255/40/18 bf goodrich kdw nt
do you think it would clear tanabe gf210 springs on tokico illumina shocks, and 35mm origin fenders?
i cant find the damned offset to the wheel
help would be appreciated.

why all this money spent on stuff w/o getting a decent suspension setup, that you can not only lower the car with, but also gain clearance, and camber adjustment?

ok did a little search- im assuming you're getting the wheels from discount tire?
they show the offset in the part#
17X8 5-114.3 28GM
17x8, rx7 bolt pattern (5 lug..), and 28 offset.
oh and i would recommend you get the 17x8 +28 for the front. yourr car will loook funny with your listed tire/wheel sizes (front tires ballooned, rear tires stretched)
or- if you have flared fenders front and rear, use 17x9 +17 all around with 255/40/17 :-)

well you can still gain some room, to run, bigger wheels, by switching to coils, it opens so many options, with just the extra 3 in avail inboard

ok go buy some ground control coilover sleeves with 350 front and 275 rear springs and then adjust at your hearts desire.
no need to dump $1500 on real deal coilovers.

I think what you see as criticism may really be people trying to help. If you save a few bucks and get coilovers, chances are you'll gain some room for wider wheels, since most coilovers' springs are wound more tightly around the shock than stock.

If you PM ARD T2, I'm sure he can help you out with your offset question, and maybe even get you a deal on your wheels. He's rim-guru-san around here.

i have some good hookups with rims and tires, the setup that i posted would be ~2g, im getting it for 1350. i have friends, i dont like the idea of paying msrp, its just wrong IMHO. man, i would love to put coilovers, i just dont want to fork out that much on my 7, its not worth it to me. now, my datsun, wow, all bets are off on that car......widebody underway, the likes no one has ever seen before on a Z!

what I meant was pay $350 for some GC sleeves/springs/perches and be done with it.
height adjustability, more space, stiffer, better, cheap, yay.

then do 18x9 front and 18x10 rear, now THATS cool.

ok, i see what you are saying. i dont think that 18's look good up front on a rx7, but i like the look of the staggard and offset. think old school muscle, and alot of imports.

Keep in mind that those springs leave LESS room for wheels than stock up front, so you'll need to make sure they have a low enough offset to clear the inside.

17x7 is too thin. go at least 17x8 up front.

ive already decided to go with 17x9, with 18x10 up front.
225 would be a stretch on 9 right? right, thats what i thought, and 245 for some traction in the rear.
i am going to use my 17x8 with 215 wanli tires for track and drift!

peace
