Single Piston Front Brake Removal
alright, i was trying to remove the front caliper last night and the top pin (the one the caliper is supposed to slide off of) just won't slide, there seems to be a bolt in there. the manual says to remove the lower retaining bolt, lift the caliper up and slide it off the pin, but it wont slide off......
anything im missing right now??? need to rebuild them calipers asap

hmm...theres a lower bolt but the top one doesnt look like a bolt, theres some kind of cap at the end where the "bolt" should be, then the caliper, then some kinda of bolt head, then the mounting bracket.....for some reasons, when i try to move the caliper upwards, i feel it (the bolt head) tightens up....its just the feeling i get........
i'm wrong, should just slide off

I have a 87 GX
There are two bolts that must be unscrewed
If I remember correctly there are 14 mm
Then depress piston with a 6" 'C' Clamp
They should lift off
If you are removing caliper for a rebuild , lossen
brake line bolt on caliper before removing two mount bolts. ( for rear loosen E brake bolt also)
