single piece vs. multi piece wheels

is there any advantage that 3 piece wheels have over single piece?

Assuming that you have rim damage, you can just replace the necessary parts as opposed to the whole rim.

I believe the main reason to make multi-piece wheels is to offer the wider wheels in a large range of fitments. Otherwise they would have to forge way too many different size/offset combinations.

It is definitely for a variety widths and offsets. Primary advantage is to acheive custom fitments. If it is a preset offset then make sure there are replacement parts available. Not like OZ. lol. Make sure you can replace on your own or locally.

Disadvantage: Weight is usually a variable that is increased with multipiece wheels as opposed to monoblocks.

Basically, exactly what both gentlemen above have already stated.

Peace, Rishie
