Silkroad Coilover question

Well ive been searching for a good setof coilovers. Ive been debating between the flta2's, RA's or Silkroads. Ive seen that many drifters tend to use them. I like drifting but im not going to do it. Im more into circuit racing. I was also wondering if i can get camber plates that will fit the silkroads. and finnally, Will the silkroads be suitable for circuit use? thanks -alex

No info on the silkroads unfortunately, but as for the TEIN's, i hear that they are quite faulty, and people in Japan have told me that they are notorious for failure. a 1 year warranty is great, but what good is it if you have to keep sending them back, Sorta like a Jaguar. I haven't heard much about the TEIN's that are floating around in the USA tho, if anyone can give input, please do so.

The JIC FLT-A2's, their quality, and mainly, their customer service has gone downhill over the past year. A few shops I know quite carring their stuff because of that reason alone.

If you'r looking for a good coilover setup, I would really reccomend checking out www.Endlessusa.com, I picked up a set of their Function-X coilovers. A new coilover that was just released for the US market. A good setup for the street I would say, is the B6 with street springs. Anyhow, for more info, feel free to contact them, and if you speak with Kent, he is great, he stayed on the phone with me for a while helping me choose the right set up for mainly street, and some track usage. I went with the Function-X, as i plan on gradually doing more road courses as my skils progress.

Anyhow, enough of my blabbering, I hope my feedback on the jic's and tein's helped you a little.

Depending on your budget and frequency of involvement on the track we should be able to make some good suggestions. Silkroad is a good coilover, however servicability is the only unknown as the product has just arrived.

Give endless a call and you'll be very happy with their consultation process.

Thanks, Endless experience

hehe.

BTW one of our FC's. About four more to come shortly. Will be featured at Sevenstock we're planning.

A freind and I both have Silk Roads, they come with front camber plates, so you would not need to buy any if you get them. From what I herad SilkRoads are one of the best out there, I know of some that have 60K miles++ on them and are showing no signs of wear.

If you are really interested I got a set I maybe selling which is still brand new never used. They have 8/6kg installed adn I have an extra set of 10/8kg for track.

IgottaFC, I can personally vouch for Endless-USA. I was contemplating on what set of coilovers to get, as there were so many. After doing some freelance research, I found out that Endless made some great coilovers. I tried calling other companies, and only got minimal help, but endless spent an hour a day, soemtimes more, asking my rookie questions. other places it seemed like I was bothering them, so the customer service aspect is top notch. Their customer service is the reason I went with their coilovers (plus the reviews that other fd owners on this forum gave me).

If, however, you are heartset on the Silk Roads, please call 408-635-0000, ask for Rishie, and tell him Chris, the guy from Jacksonville, FL that just bought the Zeal Function X coilover for FD sent you. He should hook you up very nice!
