Shoot me! Tread Fitment Question

After trolling for days, looking for suggestions here on this site, I am more confused than ever! Red 1987 RX7. Looking for new wheels and tires. Looking at this range of tires. 17X7.5 +35 to +40 with 225 or 235/45 tires.

No fender rolling or suspension changes.

Will they work without rubbing? But still look good!

Need less offset. You may need a small spacer in front absolute worst case. Those tires will fit though.

I'd run a 17x8+30 with 235s all around

A 235/45 may be too much sidewall when matched with a 40 offset wheel.
You may want to do a 235/40 tire instead. That should work with any 30-40 offset wheel.
A 225/45/17 tire will fit with any of the offsets you're looking at.

So... I think I have decided. Do you all feel this setup would work well and look well without any rubbing with stock suspension? Thanks

Less offset will look much better.

Ok. Thanks for your input.

I have finally decided on a set of wheels. Never thought this would be the hardest part. Now I hope yall think they will fit well. Please tell me they do!

They are 17x8 AVID1 AV50 5x114.3 35 Silver Machined Wheel And I plan on using 225/45 tires on the front and 17x9 AVID1 AV50 5x114.3 30 with 245/40 in the rear. I dont think they will be close to rubbing in the front? Or would I be better off using 215/45? Any feedback? Thanks!

I would go with 255/40-17 in the rear.
225/45 25" diameter
255/40 25"
245/40 24.7"

There have been posts that the 8" +35 fit on the front with 225 tires, but in my book
they would hit the stock suspension.

Ok. good point. Then I might go 215/45 in front and 245/40 in back. Should not cause rubbing issues? Thanks
