Separating a 3 piece wheel?

well this might seem dumb but i can't seem to pull my 3 piece wheels apart. it might seem even dumber that I am trying to do it with the tire on (deflated though). any suggestions before i take it to a tire shop to pull the tires?

Get the tire dismounted. The metal inside the beads will make it really hard to get the rim halves out. Once the tire is off disassembly is usually pretty easy.

To split the two wheel lips you need to slice the silicon connecting them. You're going about this the wrong way. Just get the tire taken off and it will save alot of headaches.
