Rotor ?'s....

Whats a good after market rotor for track and street use that can be used with all other stock brake components? Is it wise to put used rotors on in good condition or is it a pia and you never want to deal with it again and if it make sense to go used how much would you pay? Anyone have some decent rotors for sale?

I've always used the stock Mazda rotors. They've served me well during my 5 years of road racing, autocrossing, and just plain old road driving.

Currently my stock brake rotors are the '99 FD Rx7 Type RS rotors. The RS brakes are on another level performance compared with the US spec rotors.

Anyhow, I highly recommend the stock US spec FD rotors. FWIW, I've used a set of good used rotors, as I hold on to them when I install brand new rotors every year. The old rotors served as spares for the track. This was a good thing, as I've actually cracked one rotor from the extreme heat of the Hawk Blue racing brake pads. The old rotors got me through the rest of the weekend, and up to the point where I just intalled the new Type RS brakes (fr/rr).

FWIW, I have two sets of rears and one set of front used brake rotors. They're in good shape (not warped), and are within thickness limits. Since I now have the '99 RS brakes the old brake rotors, calipers, and hardware are just sitting in storage in my attic...
