Rim size ablility of an 88 gxl
Hey guys, I need to know what rim size is able to fit onto an 88 gxl, with out needing to change ride height, or add camber angle??? cause all the companies that I like for rims dont make the type of rim in a 16, so can a 17 fit???

Of course it can. It can even fit 18s.
The problem is width and offset. IIRC with right offsets 235F/265R is about the biggest you could get with stock fenders, but people have played carefully and gotten 245s up front, and I think 275s out back.
With fenders, and spacers, the sky is the limit.
The real thing I'd think about if I was you is if youre going for bling, or actual performance. Bigger rims always have more rotational inertia, even if the weight is the same - the weight is in the periphery of the rim, and being farther from the center of rotation means a higher PMOI. You really want the smallest rims you can get to clear the calipers and as much width as NECESSARY, and only step up to bigger sizes if you actually need the traction and there are no good tires sizes in your rim size - or if you use street tires with softer sidewalls and need them to be shorter for responce.
Seeing as you have a non turbo... Id stick with 15s or 16s and just get good tires on them
