Replacement rotor choices
What do ya'll think are the best stock replacement front rotors for an FD?? I'm thinking:
1. RB single piece w/curved veins(look nice and they seem to be a good company, esp. looking at the big brake kit thread)
2. Powerslot(really don't want)
3. Powerslot Cryo(never really heard anything about them, are they really any better??)
4. Stock
I don't want to go two piece RB because frankly I don't want to spend $500 on stock sized rotors. And I've heard Brembo rotors are basically crap from most of the people I know of that have ran them.
These ARE going to be used on the track. I know larger brakes would be wonderful but as of now I don't have $2k to spend on an upgrade, and the tracks near here are rather low speed tracks 115-120 max. I did however overheat the stock rotors running hawk blues with no ducting. This caused lots of stress cracks on the surface, but only after a very long 40-45min session which was the last of the weekend and I just wanted to go out and see what the stock setup could take. I'm in the process of making some ducting, and when I do go to a larger rotor I should be able to just swap a larger backing plate out and be set.
