I am going to refinish a set of 17x8 Front 17x9 Rear TE37s to original condition, but need to sort out details of color and coating process.

What material is the coating for the TE37s from the factory?

Does anyone know Pro/Cons about powder coating VS painting?

Are there any issue to powder coat wheels if done correctly and professionally? I have reservations about the temperature cycling of the wheel, but I have received no words of warning or issues from the wheel coaters in my area

Any opinions on color and/or theories on wheel color VS car color?

Wondering if there is a general guideline that would be good to go with, and whether or not there is really a science to aesthetics when it comes to wheel color.

I am not sure if contrast is better to go with, or something that blends in a little better.

Wondering if a wheel of virtually the same color as the car would look awkward?

Any opinions about what would look best on a TGM
