Recived my Russian rims

Yupz, Desmond Regamasters in polished finished. Got them brand new for my S13 but then I got a RX7 a week later. Oh well, they will fit my FD just fine anyways but the offsets arnt the best for FD. They are 17X8 35 offset and 17X9 38 offset. I know the offsets are a little low for a FD but they are actually high for a S13. Im trying to think of a good tire size that wont rub like crazy with these offsets. I really want 245/40/17 and 265/40/17 but I have a bad feeling that its just too wide for the offsets. What do you guys think??? Should I go with 235/40/17F and 255/40/17R or 245/40/17F and 265/40/17R?

Oh and pix for your pleasure

245 sounds like it will rub in the front, but maybe someone will post who knows for sure.

i have the same offsets and sizes.. the 245 will rub in the front with coilovers
the rear will fit 275/40/17 perfect.

a 225/45/17 is good for front

Desmond is actually a Japanese company but their wheels are forged in Russia. These rims are amazing though, 17X8 weighs in at 15lbs and 17X9 weighs in at 16lbs.

Spoon also thinks these wheels are awsome.

Yup, Desmond makes SW388's for Spoon. Look a awful lot like my Regamasters dont they.

Right now I'm running 17x8 and 17x9 both at +35 for an FD and I got 235/40/17 and 255/40/17, and no rubbing. Not the best offsets, but it fits.

Personally, I would run 225/45 up front, and 255/40 at the rear. 235/40 is too short. 235/45 may catch the fender lip easier. 245/40 may work but it's pushing it with that offset. Depends on ride height and spring rate. Your best bet if you want to run the wider tires up front is to just roll the front fenders.

17x9 in a +45mm offset is $650/each.. thats not too unreasonable. Comparable to Volks or Work wheels.

I cant wait to put them on my car but I dont have the money for good tires right now.

As for the price, the wheels are worth every penny.
