rebuilding hks coilovers

alright ive done a search and nothing close to what i need has come up...

has anyone rebuilt a hks coilover or bought parts for it outside a dealer, like the valve stem and housing.(not sure what its called.) its the whole piece that the valve sits in, when i was putting the coilover on i didnt pay attention to which side the fill valve was on, and it broke. now i need the valve stem and housing, plus i need to fill the shock.

anyone know where i can fill the shock and get a replacement valve stem and housing?

thanks

Have you tired contacting HKS? If they can't help you, I'd try talking to True Choice or Tri-Point, both are authorized Koni rebuild centers that may be of assistance. Ground Control is another to contact, they rebuild Koni and their own Advanceed Design shocks.

alright jsut got off the phone with hks, they said i have to deal with their dealers. so i called the local dealers in penn, nj, conn. they'll be contacting me by tongiht to see if i can get the straighter valve that i broke. they were kind of uncertain if they;re able to get these parts which scares me. hopefully ill get a good answer by tongiht

thanks for your help so far, and if there's anyother advice out there let me and others know

Inukai-san,

I was in LA during the promo but had too many meetings and wasn't able to make it. Hope you are doing well. I saw some pics of the event and it looked like there were some real nice cars.

Sorry to intrude dreamer. Hope all works out with the HKS thing.

The only companies who can directly replace/rebuild coilovers in the US is Tein USA and KYB.
The rest of the JDM companies , you have yo send yout sh*t back to Japan. its a bitch. But try going to a Motorcycle repair shop. I heard they have the correct equipment to rebuild these type of adjustable shocks.

There are others.

Endless/Zeal can actually revalve their coils to your specs as well. That is an invaluable service that I don't find in any other Japanese coils. They can do both damper replacement and overhaul of the damper internals, as well as valve them to suit your needs here in Huntington Beach, CA.

Silkroad will soon have a service center and GP Sports as well.
