Rear brake kit almost finished
After 18 months of messing around and waiting for fabrication, my 330mmx28mm rear brake kit is almost done. Brembo 4 piston calipers, and the same rotors used on M2s AP front kit. I will have pictures up very soon. No E Brake is available so dont bother asking. Guys, ths is really cool. I cant wait to test it. Stay tuned for more.

Ok, It is official. The good men at A-Spec Tuning will have distribution and production rights to the rear brake kit I have developed. I feel it will compliment Most BIG BRAKE front kits, sorry , no E BRAKE. IT JUST CANT BE. SO DONT ASK. More info will follow soon.

It is hard to believe with all the OEM applications Brembo supplies that someone can't just source a suitably sized rear caliper from an STi, 350Z, or some other high performance car that just has a stinkin' e-brake! I see brembo calipers on a ton of factory cars now.

(Someone had to ask)
Most high end rear replacements/upgrades keep the E-Brake function. Is the pricing going to reflect this?

Brembo does make an actual parking brake caliper but I'm guessing it's a bit tricky to figure out a mounting scheme for it on the FD upright or else someone would have done it by now.

Having no e-brake sucks. I don't have one anymore on my 3rd gen and I always need to carry something to stick under my tire incase I park on a hill.

I couldnt make drum type assembly like Doncojones mentioned and there just isnt a way to locate the spot caliper like the other cars that have four piston rear brake kits. It would involve casting a new hub carrier, not something I am interested in doing, but, believe it or not, my fab guy , who is a Can AM car builder from the 60s and 70s suggested for about 20,000 we could do a run of new castings for the hub carrier to make an e brake and a pad to sit the main caliper on. Anyone interested? I sent some photos to A-Spec yesterday, maybe Sean will post them soon. As far as the front goes, 355mmx32 Like what is on the JGTC cars.

What IS impossible is when you're trying to work on your car while the motor is running, it has to be on a complete flat surface unless you can ask someone to stick something under the tire.

But, how much load can the 1st gear take? I mean weight wise? If the angle is about 10 degree, it wouldn't be a problem, but how much more can the first gear take?

I don't have a parking brake with my rear brake setup, either. I was somewhat worried about it when I first installed it. Putting the car in gear will keep it from rolling on flat ground or very small grades. I seriously doubt it would hold the car at 10 degrees, which is actually pretty steep. Rotaries just don't hold all that well
However, if you live somewhere reasonably flat, it probably isn't much of a problem. I've never had my car roll anywhere, and I've never had any trouble finding a flat-enough spot to park. I've never had to even drive around to find a flat spot -- it seems most parking spots just happen to be level enough in my area. I have parked on some not-level streets and stuff, and as long as the grade is reasonable, first gear will hold it. I steer the wheel so that it would stop itself on the curb if it did happen to roll, but that hasn't happened yet.
