Rear 18x11's HRE's Will they fit????
ok i know it's been asked many times but i need some help. I have a 93' R1 and i'm in the process of buying new rims. the rims i'm looking at are HRE 540 series the 544's ( i saw them on an acura NSX and i fell in love with them). Anyways i want to run the widest size in the rear as possible but dont know how wide i can go. i want to run at least 18x10 or 10.5 but can i run 18x11's, because i hear they wont fit without any fender work. if any one can help me please because i'm buying them soon. Thanx!!!!

M2 runs 11's in the back on their race cars, but they say it requires their aftermarket toe-links. This is from memory from over a year ago. I don't see it on their site now.
Hope this helps.

Other then that, there is no way to easily add 11's under stock fenders. My last set of wheels were 18X10 +44s, and there was very little clearance already.

10.5 x 18 with 44-mm offset will work with a 285/30-18 in back with stock bodywork hopefully...that's what I'm going with in back for race tires!!

The toe links do nothing for wheel clearance, but the trailing arms add a little bit. I do know that the M2 race cars have thier fenders pulled out for clearance (along with likely a good lip rolling). The other issue, clearance wise along the inside, is the sway bar linkage.
