If it's bare aluminum, just use some aluminum polish. However, I don't think they're bare aluminum. Most likely, they have a clear coat on them?

the lip should be clear coated.....

well nm my bbs were clear coated im just assuming that another high quality wheel manufacturer would also clear coat their lips...

if it is you have to sand it down and then repolish it...

are there any dings or scratches on your wheels? if there is you might as well take it to a good wheel repair shop have it repaired and repolished at the same time should not cost over 200 plus tax from a reputable shop

To get my 2 piece Work rims straightened, refinished, repolished, and painted was about $1k CDN. There's a lot of labor in taking the rims apart (removing all the bolts and retorquing). But they turned out nicely.

From this....

To this...

My rims used to have a clear coat on it, but they stripped it off and it's just bare aluminum now. Pretty high maintenance if you ask me, but I don't drive my car daily, so it's not too bad.

The repair shop around here charges 100 per wheel to straighten them out and remove curb rash, then another 100 each to repaint them and refinish. I plan on doing this with my used Volks.

I believe many late model japanese wheel has high polished anodized lip. I took my Work wheel apart and is also looking to repolish the lip and get it clear anodized. Important thing is to get new hardware when reassemble because they are Gr 10.9 bolt and is not recommended to be retorqued.

If your wheel is straight from the beginning, you don't need to true the wheel (as for my Work Wheel) since the wheel center and wheel barrel has a tight fit and will centric themselve when reassemble
