Racing Hart C2's

I have contacted 2 people whom I thought would be able to provide me an answer, however, one fails to reply to his messages and the other provided zero help and an opinion on what they thought of these type of rims. Therefore, I will copy and paste my question and hopefully someone can help me out a bit better.

OK, besides the fact if they even make them anymore, I am interested in getting the Racing Hart C2's which seem to be a classic mesh style rim for our FDs. I'm interested in having a setup that looks similar to this...

http://www.importspeedsouth.com/JoseRX7/IMG_1692.jpg

those rims are 8.5-18 front...10-18 rear..tires 225/40 & 275/35

I know what offset I would need to keep a wheel "normal" and fit, but can you provide insight on what offsets I should look for to provide that look? Also, I may go 9.5 in back instead of 10, if it is offered. I also like the I-Forged Senekas but I am not very confident in I-Forged sales procedures yet.

I have no problem understanding wheels and how they fit, but when I don't have a frame of reference to start from it is kind of difficult. If I were to find these wheels and see what offsets are available, I really don't want to have a crapshoot and try and guess what they should be.

look here:

You need the high disk wheels up front to provide caliper clearance. You should be able to use the low or high disk wheels in back. If those wheels in that pic are 18x8.5 up front, I'm sure those are +39 offset. The 18x10 rears are either low disk +50 offset or high disk +46 offset, I'd guess.

If I were set on getting 18" C2s, I would get 18x9 high disk +46 fronts and 18x10 low disk+50/high disk +46 rears and run 255/35 and 285/30s.

rynberg,
Thanks for the info, that site never showed up on my Google search unless it was deep down into the 1,000,000 pages that popped up. All I kept getting was general seller pages that only listed pics, diameter/width, and price. That is exactly what I needed, I knew that the brake clearance was an issue but needed an idea of what was offered in relation to that...now I just have to find a seller that will work with me and know what the hell they are talking about. Rishie hasn't replied to messages for awhile.

Crazysuprakid,
If FastRX7man is the guy with the red FD and the GTC front and wing then I have spoken to him. He has 42mm front and 45 back. He had trouble with rubbing on the front.

I gave you guidance on what pad heights to look for because the "deep-dish" look requires that info in addition to offset. I am NOT going to do an internet search for you and find wheel spec tables. You've got to do that for yourself. Lucky for you, rynberg had the link you needed.

I don't know what it is with recent forum members. It seems newbies want everything handed to them, and aren't willing to spend the time to learn or do the research for THEMSELVES. And if they don't get what they want-- NOW--they bitch on the forum.

As for deep-dish look, and Racing Hart C2. Everyone has his/her own idea of a good looking wheel. I'm just not a fan of this wheel (exposed bolts, and deep rim lip).

I don't think it's wrong for people to offer an opinion. Heck I asked for opinions on wheels I'm considering buying. The poll says I should buy the BBS RG-R. In fact I'm going with what I like which is Volk SE37K. You may have a differing opinion, and that's fine with me, cuz you're entitled to YOUR opinion.

SleepR1 ...I'm not a newbie, nor lazy, nor poor like you have suggested in either your PM's or your post here. I didn't expect you to look things up, but rather provide an idea of what the offset may be...after all, you enjoy putting your $0.02 in on everyone's wheel choices.

So please, get the **** off the high horse you ride on when this webpage loads on your monitor...and thank you for ruining another thread. This will be my last post pertaining to you on this thread, so feel free to ***** it up alone.
