Racing Brake ET700 Pads Review

My FD has both the Racing Brake front and rear big brake kits.

Using GoodfellaFD3S advice, I am using Racing Brake's ET700 pads front and rear.
They are really good for heavy street use or light track up to 1200F.

What is amazing; they work even in 8F air temps for initial braking with cold disc.

Good feedback. What were you using previously? How is the dust on the 700s?

For over 15 year on the stock breaks I used Hawk HP+ even though they dusted a lot and the dust was corrosive.

Then in 2007, I got the RB rear BBK along with their two piece stock front discs.
That is when I started testing different pads. I ended up preferring CarboTech AX6 brake pads. At that time RB did not have the pad selection that they have today for our brakes.

Then in 2010, I got the RB front BBK and switched to ET700 pads for front and rear as suggested by GoodFellaFD3S.

Dusting is better than HP+.

Most of these problems you know, are caused by the government not allowing asbestos use in pads anymore.

I'll take more brake dust over asbestos laden dust anytime.

I experimented with the ET800 pads on the street for a while but switched back to the ET500 for street use. The 500s dust MUCH less than the 800s in street usage. probably b/c they are in the appropriate temp range.

Glad it worked out for ya chuck

I've moved to ET800s for the front and Endless MX72 on the rear. Well, the rears are in a box waiting to go on anyway

The ET800s dont squeal at all, but definitely dust. Performance has been phenonemal wrt to pedal feel and lack of fade on track.

Ganesh is trying to convince me to move to MX72 at each corner, but my fronts don't have much use. Decisions, decisions.....

I purchased the ET500s with my RB kit as a street pad, I figure when I do track Ill just swap out to something more aggressive like the ET800. I didnt want excessive squealing or dusting for street use, but its nice to hear the 700s are a good compromise. Ive used the HP+ in the past with stock brakes, and street performance was good but the squealing got annoying.

The ET700s do not squeal most of the time and when they do, it is barely audible.

As I said I use to use HP+ on the stock brakes but as I drove harder, they could not handle the temps.
