r1 or r2 springs with koni yellows

I finally able to secure some koni yellows. Now I am at the predicament of whether to use r1 or r2 springs. I know the r2 are a bit softer than r1s but just wanted to hear everyone's 2 cents.

no predicament as all FD USA 93-95 springs are the same. the diff is in the dreadful R series shocks.

When I went with the Koni yellows, also went with the Eibach Springs. Many years on this setup and still very happy. Also added RB sway bars at the same time. Not a race car setup, just very nice handling!

that is a no brainer killer combo. do not discount this option.

"are the front shocks inter changeable for left and right?"

Front shocks have different part numbers for L & R, rear shocks have the same part number

Howard, there is a set of Tein (assuming S-techs) springs available from a guy in my country. What do you think of Koni + Tein S-tech set-up? Otherwise I might have to look into having Eibachs imported which will cost more and take longer.

Eibach Pro Kit 350 Fr/ 255 R

S-Tech 440 Fr/ 320 R excellent rate

S-T lowers the car 1.4 inches fr and 1.3 r which is fine. you will need to reset your camber. pls set your car to my specs and don't forget tire pressure.

Hey Howard,

with the Eibach/Koni setup - how far from stock ride height can you go..? And, if you wanted to, could you keep it at the stock ride height -or- is that not possible?

thanks

I own an R1 with Koni yellows. Will the Eibach springs give better bump compliance/ ride than the stock R1 springs? Or are they harsher? Also, do they change ride height much, or at all? Howard, I just asked you this in your sticky but then I found this thread, sorry.
