R/L control arm stripped (Help)

I need your guys expertise... is this going to be problem or should i replace?

I was getting ready to have my mechanic push in some pillow ball when he tells me that the slot for the the pillow ball has been stripped. He recommended me that i should just get my Driver R/L control are replaced.

Any suggestions?

you have to replace the LCA. there is a flange that the pillow ball is pushed up against when it is installed properly. that flange is no longer there (in the picture above), so it won't hold the pillowball in place. the other side is held in place by a c-clamp ring (don't know the proper term for it). when you press out the pillow ***** they only press out one way. if you press them out the in the opposite/wrong direction, you will press out the flange and ruin your LCA, as was done in the one pictured above.
