Quite a Few Questions

I have been reading off this section but although I might have cleared my mind on some things, I am not sure I have found the answer to all of them combined.
I am going to spend some money on my almost stock FD3S and I will get a wheel/tire combo (I'm on stockers).
I'm not planning on doing any of the following:

1) Rolling fenders
2) Tracking car
3) Lowering incredible amounts
4) Using out of the world offsets

Here are my questions:

1) Is it a good or bad idea to use a staggered setup? I mean this primarily from a drivability/handling performance standpoint.

I am looking at getting 300 hp at the wheels eventually. I was thinking about using 255s in the back and 225s in the front.

2) Would this be too much of a difference?
3) Would 255s be adequate or maybe too much in the back?

I am pretty much set on using 17" rims.

4) Would 17x8 in the front and 17x9 in the back be a good fit for those tire sizes?

Offset considerations. Given that I would like to change as little as possible as far as this goes:

5) What would the ideal offset be both front and rear? I would imagine staying with a +50 upfront would not change anything

6) Perhaps a +45 would improve the stance a bit without upsetting too much?
7) What type of offset would be ideal for a 17x9 at the back?

Sorry about the many questions, I have looked and -like I said- it's hard to put it all together.
I'm also not very informed and/or experienced in the area of wheel/suspension setup, so please forgive me.
Thank you
