quick question on some rims, reply if u can

theres a guy selling some 17" blitz wheels, i called him and he said 17x8 up front and 17x10 in the back and he's currently got them on his 300zx, front size tires are 245/45 and back are 275/40, i asked him if they would fit an FD and he said yea and i asked him the offsets and he said 2 inch up front and 4 in the back, would they fit an FD? i currently have on 8 way gab adjustable shocks and grex springs with rolled fenders, thanks for reading and replying

an offset is generally given in a + - system. the lip may be 2" in front and 4" in the rear.

I used to own a '91 300ZX TT several years ago, and the stock offsets (IIRC) were something like +35, so the general answer would be no, they won't fit.

Then again, the 2" and 4" could be the backspace measurement. If you know the centerline measurement, you can use the formula: Centerline - Backspace = Offset, to calculate offset.

In general, the Z32 wheel fitments are more like FD than to FC.
I know Z32 guys who run a 8" wide +35 front, and this fitment barely clears on an FC.
On an FD, expect to roll fenders...

you could check out some of the online mfg'ers sites like 5zigen japan to see their list of offsets and find out what fits the 300zx, then see if that is similar to what you need.

BUT, without knowing what his exact wheels offsets are, you'd still be guessing what those wheels are.

see if he can take them off and see a two number stamp (offset #) on the back of the rim if there is no sticker on the inside of the wheel barrel

A 8" +35 up front *should* be doable, however, it also depends on the tire size (225 max is recommended), but if the offset is the same for the rear, forget it.

I bought my wheels off a 300zx guy. They fit with no problems. 17x9 and 17x10 +41 all around
