Question on spring rates...

Hey,

Did a search but couldn't confirm...

There's no difference between the spring rates of a 93 R1 and the base model, i.e. 280F/200R; the difference between the base models and R1 is the damping?

Thanks

Yes, that is correct. Just the shocks are different. The R models had a front shock tower bar as well, but the springs and sway bars are the same.

When choosing aftermarket springs, what sort of spring rates are people using for the street, autocrossing, and for road racing? Or, what rates are considered too high for a street driver?
