Question for people with Ground Controls + Konis

I had my GC kit installed a few weeks ago. I looked at them a few weeks ago and the fronts look strange. My fronts are set to 25in height. The way they are on my car they have zero room to go higher. Is that the case for you guys as well?

Btw the rears look reasonable. Lots of room to go higher and lower.

Thats odd. I have plenty of room on mine to go higher.

Who installed your kit? I'm wondering if the fronts and rears got mixed up.

That's exactly what I was afraid of. The Shop in San Bruno installed them. I specifically labeled the fronts and rears so that they wouldn't get mixed up. How do I tell which springs are supposed to be what? Can I tell by the part numbers or by counting the coils maybe?

ok so I figured out I have 0600.250.0500.0 in the front. I guess that means 6" at 500lb rate. That seems right to me. Is there more than one place to mount the spring on the Konis?

That is right, the 500# spring goes in front and you can tell by reading the part number.

What I was referring to was the coilover sleeves not the springs. The sleeves are different as well.

Yes, the Koni's have 3 different perch heights. I believe you are supposed to use the "highest" setting with the GC kit, so that might also be the problem. FYI I have 450lb 7" springs in the front and 350lb 8" springs in the rear, so with your shorter springs, 25" might just be the maximum you can get. I know some people run 6" springs and some run 7".

No, thats not it. I ran 6" 500# springs also. There was plenty of thread on the front sleeves to go well over 25" when you use the correct sleeves up front.

I am currently running the same springs rates and lengths as you fwiw.

how should I go about identifying whether i have them switched or not? Are one of the sleeves supposed to be longer than the other?

Take them apart and look inside. One pair will be deeper than the other.
