does anyone have an idea as to what may be the cause of the car pulling to the right while accellerating and then sraightening while coasting?

Don't take this the wrong way but are all your nuts and bolts tight? Is there a clunking sound? Does the car sit completely level when no-one is in it?

first thing to check is tire pressure. they will do that if theres no air. then an alignment/ look for worn parts

If you have clunks, you might need some new spherical bearings (a.k.a. pillow-*****) from Mazda, too. The toe links and the six spherical bearings seem to wear out over time.
