Anyone ever use 255/40-17 size tires on a 17x8 wheel? This tire size is suppose to be for 8.5 inch to 10.0 inch. I ask because I was thinking of using the BBS wheels from the EVO. They're 17x8 +35 offset. I figure you guys that are running 17x10s with 255/40-17s this should fit in the fender...

ive done it. wouldnt really recommend it. its hella bulged, so there wont be any advantage over a 245. plus 245 will clear easier, and is shorter.
go with 245/40/17
oh, and you may need a tiny spacer in front.
