Lowering the Suspension
I took the stock 14" wheels off and put 16" ones on. This may be an absolutely stupid question but is there a thread somewhere that explains how to go about lowering the car? If not, how about some instruction.

you essentially have three options
#1 buy lowering springs and shocks appropriate for use with them. the actual amount lowered will be pre-determined and is typically conservative.
#2 buy coilover sleeves (which will come with springs) and shocks appropriate for the spring rate and will fit the sleeve. the springs will typically sit lower than stock and the height will be further adjustable via preload/droop of the spring on the spring collar.
#3 buy integrated coilovers, which are marketed as a single unit typically including at least a shock with a threaded body, a set of spring collars and springs. some units will be single adjustable (similar to the sleeve option above). others will be dual adjustable, the second height adjusting method being a shock mounting bracket that is threaded onto the shock body, allowing you to alter overall length of the shock.
