Q regarding end links/control arms

Im replacing my left front control arm. Im replacing my front sway bar links too. It seems like the metal pieces on the inside of the control arm where the bolt goes through for the end links are at different spacing on all 3 arms I have. I know the links have been changed. Do these metal "bushings" ever move? Am I going to have to use and air hammer to move them if so. Or, am I just blind/stupid?

thankyou in advance
Dave

They are designed to move. If you can't get something in the middle, put a bolt through and thread a nut onto it in the middle. Then tap the head of the bolt to widen the opening. Be aware that typically only one side is a movable sleeve, so make sure you aren't banging on the side that doesn't move. Once everything is together, any gaps will disappear as you tighten the bolts.
