Any problems running 245-45 tires on stock wheels/suspension?

I'd like to go a tad wider than the stock tires, the closest thing to keep overall tire diameter the same in 16" tires would be 245-45 size. I've looked at the car and it seems like there would be no fitment issues.

Also, anyone have experience with TIRERACK? They've got good prices and availablity on this size of tire, whereas there was NO place in Wichita that had them.

Zero problems, it's a very common upgrade size for the stock wheels.

You've never used Tire Rack? They have excellent prices and great customer service, a rare combination.

245/45R16 work fine. Those are what I use to drive on the street versus the 245/40R17 for auto-x.

Ditto. 245/45-16's are awesome. They're the size tires that *should* have come standard on this car.

Tirerack is a very reputable dealer. I've bought several sets of tires from them and have been very happy. Very fast shipping and beat pretty much any local prices.

Nice car, btw...montego blues are the best...too bad it's an auto.

Tire Rack is a sponsor here. Be sure to click through using the link on the front page just under the Suspension section!

I've always had excellent service from them. Highly recommended.

Over the last few years I've bought 2 sets of tires for the RX-7, 1 set of tires for the wife's Audi, and 2 sets of tires for the M3 from Tirerack. No complaints ever.
