protecting uncoated stainless steel brake lines
Well, I have read as much as I could about the stainless lines...AFTER I had already purchased the Goodridge SS lines from the RX7 store...
These are indeed not covered, that is the stainless steel does not have a clear plastic covering as has been described in the Mazdaspeed version....
Anyways in an old post someone used heat shrink tubing from a local electronics store and also suggested a spray on "covering"
I went to a local Radio Shack and they only had small 3-4 inch variable size tubes....I tried to PM the original poster on this suggestion and to see how well it had held up, but have yet to get a response....
If I can spend $5 just to protect these lines and prevent particles from getting into the braidin it would be great and I think well worth the effort.........
So I was wondering if anyone has been successful with either the spray or shrink tubing....and were the Hell do you get it at?!?!??!?!?!?!

yea I used the adhesive lined stuff for all my ss braid (fuel, brakes, oil) I did mine while the lines were being assembled so that I could get it over the ends. You might have a problem with the size you will need if the fittings are too big.
