problems finding shocks/struts

problems finding shocks/struts

i have a 86 gxl... so i have electronic suspension, im looking to get kyb agx but all specify not for electronically adjustable suspension. im completely removing the suspension so would the agx's work in my car

Yes they will work, you just won't be able to use auto adjust feature.

alright thats fine because ive already taken out the controls for it... do you know if there is a better shock/strut when lowering a car? i think im going to get eibachs which lower it .8

I don't know if you mean, you want a shock that will give you the ability to go lower(as in a lower mounting perch), or you want one that works better when lowered?

No one makes any adjustable lower perch that I know of. And any shock should do the same when it comes to lowering, as in I don't think you would have to worry about reaching the limits of the shock, if you use factory bump stops.

Or are your asking whats a better shock? Koni or Bilstein would be the next step up.

KYBs should work fine for a street car. The Konis are better. In the end it all depends on your budget and how you use your car.
