problem with bbs...
problem with bbs...
I have a set of bbs mesh from a linc continental lsc, i got tires and everything and as i about to mount it, i put the wheel against my hub/rotor.... and i see my studs dont even make it so i can catch a turn!! it is literally 1/4 in short!
so... question is, is there a website where i can order 1 inch longer wheel studs? I really need to mount those rims cos i am selling my old tires (just tires, if anyone want a set of ok condition 1990 gtu rims missing centre caps 150 shipped
lol)
*sigh* i been having a pretty bad day.
thanks for any help.

You can get longer studs from ARP for the front then you might be able to use the front studs in the rear. The rear flange is thinner than the front so you end up with a little extra usable length. If that doesn't work just get enough for all four wheels.
Summit Racing carries a good selection ARP stuff.

can someone tell me thread size, pitch, and length of the stock stud on the seven?
so.. i guess i gotta pull the hub off to do the longer studs for rears... right?
wonder if i can use a spacer style thingie.. and put longer studs on them...
may be easier? idk...
help out
thanks.

I got 4 sets of wheelstuds from Summit. Part# 100-7708. They're a half-inch longer UHL. I got them in the fronts no problem. Getting them in the rears is impossible, as far as I could tell, without pulling the hub out. I had this done as I was getting the bearings changed anyways.

The ARP studs don't end up giving you much more in the front. They are longer, but not by much. They're meant for the Camaro/Corvette/Firebird, so you can probably get some longer studs from elsewhere. I've seen a comparison pic of some Corvette studs before, and there are longer ones than the ARP's available.
