Powder coating FD Control Arms
I'm not sure if this has been addressed or not so I apologize if there's a thread I haven't found. I used search and google and couldn't find anything.
I have my control arms out of the car waiting for bushings so in the down time I wanted to see if I could get the control arms powder coated without damaging the ball joint since the ball joints are not removable.
Has anyone powder coated their control arms before? If so what did you do? I pulled the dust boots and now it's all metal, how do you re-grease the joint? I really don't want to trash a $500 control arm.
Also, my upper ball joints seem loose? There's no play, but they move around easier then the lower ball joints.. Is this normal?

If there is nothing that can melt in the arm(if you took the boot off) you should be fine. They can mask off the ball joint so it doesn't get blasted or painted. But the easiest way to find out would be just take it to the powdercoaters and ask them if it is possible.
