Really need help
I have
17 inch wheels fronts are 8" wide and the rears are 10" wide. Offset 44 Front. Offset 47 Rear
Tyres on the front are 225 45 17, rears are 235 45 17.
I have looked through a pdf on tyre size and tried to use the will this fit my car question eliminator but for the former I really cant understand it. The latter the website doesn't work.
I have read and read but i'm unsure still could someone please answer me a few questions.
1. The tyres on the wheels when fitted to the car fill the arches nicely. no rubbing on anything, what is the main reason to run larger tyres?
2. What are the recommended tyre sizes based on the offsets and wheel sizes?
3. The car has adjustable koni shocks, but it hasn't been lowered as far as i'm aware.
advice?

What car do you have? FD? If so, wheel sizes/offsets look OK I think. Only concern might be the rear wheel hitting the trailing arms.
225/45-17 on 17x8 is fine, but 235/45-17 shouldn't be run on 10". You want 255/40-17 rears at least.

Thanks for the reply mate.
its an FD . I have test fitted with the tyres that are on the car. could see no clearance issues.
i noticed most 17 tyres come in profile 40 not 45.. is 40 okay for both front and back?
