I'm a ricer.
I like big wheels and big aero.

I like both meaty tire setups, and I also like stretched tires on overly wide wheels.

My daily Mazda is pretty low with an excessive amount of camber and a stupid amount of stretch.

My other car, a 240sx is ricey with a big body kit, and my license plate even admits i'm a ricer.
(old pic on sunken wheels)

but that doesn't mean I don't like to have fun with my cars

I think Jose's car is perfect. I don't mean that in a way that's universal, rather, for what he's going for, it's perfect. Great fitment for a street car that's fun to cruise in. It breaks necks. Of course not everyone is going to like it. Not everyone is an *** man, and not everyone is a boob man. Some people like the color blue, and some people like the color green, it doesn't matter what you like, it's all subjective.

I love this board because RX-7 guys are so passionate about their cars, and I completely respect that, so it's easy to express your dislike for a certain type of style, but remember, it's still not your car, it's someone else's labor of love.

As for me, I just recently picked up an FD about a month ago after owning an FC for over 13 years, and I just picked up some wheels last week and am currently looking into this thread for ideas about what I want exactly, so keep it up!

Keep posting pics of your car Jose A because it is an ideal of fitment for looks.

I know the cars that get us old guys eyes rolling and its not yours.

Its actually just the cars specifically set up to make old people cringe so young people can feel anti-establishment and cool.

I try to treat it like an ugly girl and just look away and keep negative comments to myself, because somebody loves that ugly girl/FD.

people really do talk too much crap about "stanced" cars and what not

to each their own...the only time i disagree with what these "stanced" guys are doing, is when they go too far to the point that they become a danger on the road and to others

for example, this: (and yes this guy actually drove the car this way)

I'm only okay with that car because the owner drives and designed the Sexy Knights FD.

A few pics from last years DGRR. I could go a bit lower, but the roads around me don't really allow it. Also need to pull the rear quarters more.

^ To properly pull off 19's all around, you need to lower the car AND add some sort of side skirts to hide the extra height. As of now if looks like a very very clean fd 4x4.

Crappy IPhone first pics of wheels mounted on my car, still have to dial in coilovers, going to drop another 1/4 inch. Rears still waiting on D-Max 50mm over fenders.

Here's mine FD.
Mounted new rims yesterday. And added a HKS hipermax2 suspension.
Bought the wheels from a friend off mine.
Advan RS. Size 18" Offset 35 and 9J around.

Only problem is that the wheels has 255 tires around. On the back no problem but in the front they dont work. It hits the fender on very slow speeds. So it had to go up... the tires are bad also i want to wrap them with 245 or maybe 235 on the front. Any ideas maybe?
And the HKS set is not so stiff also. On the picture it sits nice but when i get in the car it will lower 1 to 1.5 cm.... (0.06") And the it gets not drivable here in the netherlands. Speedbumps etc. Hitted the floorplate and the exhaust a few times.
But maybe also some fender rolling will do.
