Yep, stock fenders modified with a lip. I'll take some pics tonight at the meet.

Thanks! It was a guy here in town, he rebuilds race cars, he even makes exhausts by hand. He is a magician with metal haha. And he said he would do more if anyone was interested. If you want, PM me and I'll give you his info.

Yeah that's what I was thinking about recently haha. I think it would look good too. And I love those old Z cars, especially with those flares and the headlight covers. Soooo sexy.

I actually bought a set of those to try them on the FD....trust me, they do not look as good on the FD as they do on the datsun. If you look at the site of the datsun where the fenders mount, it is much flatter than the FD. Our rear quarters start lower and much more rounded. To fit them, you had to force the fender against our quarters and the result is it distorts the fender so much that it just looks tacky.
Lesson learned. Just hope to save you guys some time and cash.

Damn, I was thinking we could start a new trend! I used to have a '74 260Z myself and I love those fenders...yes, a classic design indeed!

anyone knows if 18x13 +20 will rub on coilover or anything on the inside side? Currently running 18x12 +7 but now I feel like stretching 295/30 on 18x13

LOL... bro with your origin overfenders you can go like 18x13 -5 lmao! My pull gives me like ~25mm.

reason is 275/35 gives me stupid rake with the 225/40 upfront, 295/30 would fix this!

I fully agree, and I love them even more when set up like that. I actually got a lead today on a 240Z for $100, but it's basically stripped down to the chassis right now. I'm thinking 3 rotor. LOL

Come on Dee, my rear is pulled about 2 inches. You should bite the bullet and just pull it out more! lol

omg.... this is bad for the bank hahah If I could Pull an extra inch that 13-5 would fit lol.
The only thing stopping me is the fact that my pull is so smooth atm and I'd be super mad to pull and end up with something less perfect... you know what, cut your fender and send it my way I'll weld it on my fender LOL

Edit : could you post a picture of your rear from a centered angle please ? I'd like to see how much the wheels poke front the lower point of the car.

Do it Dee... pull your rears... go hard...

well at the moment with my set up.. my rears should be pretty damn flush on the 18x12 -17.... but with 1.5 degrees i can go wider... hmmm maybe i should get a new outer barrel for the rears and go 13.5......

but deff gonna change my tire size up front.. gonna run 245 35 18 instead of my current 224/40...

i just cant wait to post more pics of the final product....

Yeah I totally know what you mean. Your flares look really good right now. Mine aren't as nice as you think, you just can't tell from the pics haha. That's why I'm thinking about working on them again and then getting the car painted by a competent place this time haha.

What do you mean, centered angle? You mean like take a pic from above the fender looking straight down?

Hypothetically they'd be FD specific, How about Miata flares? My kingdom for photoshop!
